Senior Account Executive, Crisis Prevention & Issues Management
Cone seeks a mid-level professional to join the agency’s Crisis Prevention & Issues Management discipline to work on nationally recognized consumer brand clients.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of crisis and issues management experience in a company or agency setting. Experience should include conducting risk assessments, making crisis prevention recommendations, helping to create crisis preparedness plans and dealing with complex public/social issues by conducting research and analysis, creating messaging and dealing directly with media. Experience with bloggers and online activist tools and trends is also important. Food and beverage experience a plus.
In order to be considered, candidates must show samples of their work in the areas mentioned above.
Candidates must also have proven analytical, research and organizational skills; hands on media relations experience in an issues setting; the ability to work well independently as well as in a team dynamic; comfort in making decisions under pressure and in working against multiple deadlines; excellent verbal and written communication skills; self-confidence and knowledge of current events.
Basic role and responsibilities of this position will include: Monitoring and analysis of issues that could impact Cone clientsBudget managementUpdating and maintaining issue-oriented messaging for corporate clientsParticipating in the development of written crisis scenarios, risk assessments and crisis plans for clientsAssisting with new business and marketing initiatives for the practiceDeveloping crisis and issue management case studies for use in client presentations and agency trainingsWorking on a team of crisis professionals from Assistant Account Executive through Executive Vice President
