Senior Account Executive
Hanley Wood Marketing provides world-class business-to-business marketing solutions and communications to corporate clients, including Fortune 500 businesses. We are a division of Hanley Wood, LLC, one of the top 10 B-to-B media companies in the U.S. and are located in Minneapolis, MN.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Account Executive with a proven track record in servicing client accounts within an agency environment. This position is housed in our Client Services Department and will be responsible for servicing, leading and growing existing client accounts.
Competencies: - Function as relationship manager on accounts. - Build strong relationships with clients at all levels. - Seek opportunities to grow business and make contacts in other areas of company or department. - Oversee key client programs, and provide leadership and oversight to internal teams on the execution and management of project details, and identifying cost efficiencies. - Assist in the drafting of strategic proposals, development of programs and presentations to clients and new business prospects. - Increase project profitability on accounts. - Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and ways to better serve our clients. - Foster collaborative team relationships and serve as a mentor to junior-level account staff. - Highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree (marketing emphasis desired). - Minimum of 3 years experience in account management within a marketing or advertising agency environment. - Previous experience managing large national client accounts highly desired. - Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. - Inner drive to "do whatever it takes" to get the job done and done right. - Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization. - Ability to effective manage multiple goals, priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment; to move from one focus to another quickly and effectively while utilizing creative problems solving skills and maintaining quality standards. - Ability to travel.
