Are you capable of writing everything from process documentation to marketing collateral, while also being an ace editor? Don’t want to be pigeonholed into writing the same thing, day in and day out? Here’s your chance to write everything under the sun for a top 20 web site that has 8 million visitors per month. You’ll write a variety of pieces for internal and external audiences, including online help, instructional text, editorial features, site copy, and process documentation. As a Writer/Editor for Classmates Online, some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Writing online help, instructional text, and FAQs Writing internal process and project management documentation Writing, proofreading, and copyediting stories and content of all types (email and advertising collateral, feature stories, marketing collateral, etc) Working with a variety of team members including editors, designers, product managers, program managers, and producers The Job Requirements: B.A. degree in English, journalism, technical communications, or a related field Minimum of 5 years writing experience (at least two years technical writing) Ability to manage multiple projects with frequent and absolute deadlines Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong proofing and editing skills Effective in a team environment Strong presentation skills Flexible writing style with ability to stay in the “voice” of the site and the brand Unusually varied writing experience and instructional design skills are a big plus Who are we?
