Sales and Customer Service/Marketing Assistant

Vermont Composites, Inc.,  a Bennington Vermont based company specializing in the design and manufacture of carbon fiber based products seeks an individual to join our growing team of professionals in the position of Sales Coordinator/Marketing Assistant.

 

The major responsibilities of the position are as follows:

 

Customer Service/Sales - The selected individual will coordinate sales and customer service activities for assigned aerospace and medical accounts. Enters customer orders into system. Coordinates the production and shipping dates with engineering, purchasing and manufacturing and keeps customer updated on the order status. Verifies data provided for quotes and enters into system for tracking and bid review. Communicates the quote to the customer and follows up with the customer to finalize into a sale. Responds to customer complaints and questions with prompt follow through. Supports shipping group to ensure proper shipping methods. Verifies invoices prior to finalizing and sending to customers.  Assists in the preparation for trade shows.

Will be expected to visit customers’ places of business with sales manager when required.

 

Marketing – The individual will assist SVP with all marketing related activities to include press releases, web site maintenance, collateral production, trade show booth design, trade show coordination, sales presentation design, and other marketing related activities.

 

Qualifications:

1. Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in a Business related field

2. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years customer service experience  preferably in a manufacturing environment. 

3. Must be detail oriented and self organized.  

4.  Must possess excellent verbal, written, listening,  interpersonal and organizational skills5.        Must 5. Must be detail oriented and self organized.  

6.  Must be able to work overtime if necessary to meet all deadlines.

7.   Must have general knowledge concerning computers and ability to learn all appropriate software to include but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Access, Power Point and Vantage.          8.  Must be able to travel to worldwide trade shows and customer sites.

9.    Must be able to successfully pass a drug/alcohol screening test as well as a physical examination that will assess applicable physical abilities needed to perform essential elements of the job.
