Sales/Marketing Manager – Los Angeles & SouthwestNewsstand Magazines

 

Los Angeles-based position, in Torrance office, with sales responsibility for Southwest U.S.  The successful candidate will be responsible for established accounts in the supermarket, drug, convenience, bookstore, military and airport classes of trade, as well as ongoing relationships with periodical wholesalers.

 

Individual should have strong communication & follow-through skills, plus good laptop/computer knowledge.  This is a well-established sales territory, requiring an experienced sales individual to call on Headquarter Accounts.  Sales experience in publishing environment will recieve highest priority, however; skilled individuals in food and no food products are welcomed.

 

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

 

· 2 - 4 years College

· Minimum 5 years Sales/Marketing experience

· Skilled and proficient with computer programs, such as: Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint

· Valid Driver’s License

· Experience with Headquarter buyer sales calls and knowledge of Retailer Marketplace in Southwest U.S.

· Required to prepare and submit weekly & monthly status reports

· Maintain existing accounts while seeking new sales opportunities

· Overnight travel required

· Hands on individual managing client's magazine titles & retailer relationships

· Position reports to Vice President of Marketing/Sales
