With over 40 locations throughout the world Cision provides insight, expertise and intelligence that improves performance and builds reputation.  As a result of company growth, we are seeking a Sales Manager to be a part of our Chicago renewals sales team. 

The Sales Manager will supervise and manage the media information renewal, up-sell, and sales support processes and team. Other responsibilities include managing the day-to-day activities, monitoring inside sales and renewal calls, and personally developing a territory of larger prospects and clients. 

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

·  Sales activities as detailed in compensation plan

·  Develop semi-annual business plan

·  Monitor daily reports and calls of direct reports

·  Recruitment, training and development of team

·  Align closely with other department heads to ensure that the client experience is seamless

·  Additional duties as assigned 

Requirements:

·  5+ years of inside sales experience

·  2+ years of experience managing an inside sales or telemarketing team

·  Proficient using a variety of software applications as part of daily routine

·  Experience in either selling software or having a significant comfort level with demonstrating software is important

·  Proven ability to mentor and train a staff is essential

·  Ability to personally sell into territory of key accounts

·  A communications, public relations, or journalism background is preferred

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred

·  Strong closing ability (demonstrate in an interview)

·  Proven ability to mentor and train a staff is essential

·  10% travel 

Additional Requirements:

· Able to work as a team player in coordinating and implementing sales objectives as well as independently

· Needs minimal support, training and guidance from management

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Effective time management and organizational skills
