As the Senior Market Research Analyst, we will rely on your expertise to provide us with the tools and resources to further our mutual success. Interested applicants will have exceptional Market Sizing experience, Marketing Research Strategy, Product Development, Competitive Analysis, and Survey Work experience. Qualified candidates must have very strong quantitative and qualitative background. Experience developing surveys, regression analysis, data tabs, and market research modeling experience are preferred. Candidates must also have exemplary written skills, with the ability to crunch quantitative surveys; prior focus group experience is also a huge plus.

Job Summary

The Market Research Analyst will develop a body of research and knowledge on EdisonLearning's business priorities and stakeholders to support sales and marketing initiatives. Coordinate and support qualitative and quantitative research for the company, whether executed internally or using vendors. Support product development and customer marketing through analysis of client feedback, market sizes, trends, demand, and competitive information. Main Responsibilities* Develop and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects to help effectively plan strategy, product development, and marketing direction to capitalize on market demand and competitive advantages* Conduct user group surveys* Explore new user groups that might be potential new markets in the future* Create a "Customer Communications" capacity that encourages inbound and outbound information flow that informs strategy, product development, and marketing* Analyze data and information that define market size, trends, demand, and competitive advantages. Synthesize data across sources, transforming information into intelligence that supports business strategy through the thoughtful creation of reports, rationale, and recommendations* Develop a marketing database that captures industry, customer, and competitive intelligence that can be effectively leveraged to make highly informed strategic decisions and support new business development

Background* Minimum five years of research experience* Strong experience in leading research projects to support company strategy* Experience working with data, extracting facts and driving towards strategic insights and implications* Ability to collect, manage and manipulate large quantities of data* Proficiency using databases and software that supports the creation and tabulation of research* Significant experience in field research methods and techniques is essential, both qualitative and quantitative* Familiarity with other user experience research techniques is a plus, such as usability methods, modeling user experience, ethnography, survey techniques, etc.* Understanding of federal and state education legislation* Strong computer skills; CRM analytical experience a plus* Strong writing/editing skills* Demonstrated experience in the design of data gathering tools* Knowledge of user testing methods* MA/MS/MBA degree in business or marketing or related field
