Resource Manager

Team Detroit brings together five of WPP's largest marketing and communications agencies in Detroit including:  JWT, Y&R, Wunderman, Ogilvy, and Group M.  Implemented in January 2007, WPP restructed its service offerings to offer best-in-class talent and more effective marketing partnerships to its client base in Detroit, the largest of which is Ford Motor Company.  In addition to Ford, Team Detroit's client roster includes:  Bosch, Delta Dental, Oakwood Healthcare System, Shell, White Castle, Dollar General and Compuware.  Currently Team Detroit is looking for a Resource Manager to join our team.

The Resource Manager is a key role within the organization responsible for partnering with assigned WTD practice area's in planning, assignment and utilization of resources to current and planned project and program activity.  The resource manager will be primarily an internal-facing operational role key to supporting the execution and successful delivery of digital and direct project programs.

RESPONSIBILITES:Understand Practice Area's organizational structure, roles and responsibilites, "who does what".Partner with Delivery Services project and program management and participate in project meetings to assign staff to create efficient schedules.Provide status of delivery task (milestones) to proper Delivery Lead/Project Managers.Troubleshoot, resolve and/or escalate resource issuese on a timely manner.Participate in resource forecasting.Attend and participate in team status meetings.Update and manage other resource documentation reports as necessary.Willingness to work with large amounts of data and format it for printing/emailing and other reporting purposes.
