Our directors are responsible for leading, managing and growing the brightest teams of research talent. They hold important client-facing roles, leading some of Harris Interactive’s most innovative studies. Their role includes designing, proposing, directing and analyzing results from qualitative and quantitative research, often applying advanced proprietary research tools. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret research findings so that clients benefit from actionable insights. Key responsibilities include the following:
Manage a team of researchers and a series of research projects including designing, proposing, pricing, managing and analyzing survey results and making recommendations to the clients. Consistent attainment of business results which include both business development and revenue management goals.Manage revenues of $.5M to $1MIdentify new opportunities within the youth and education market.Build and cultivate key client relationshipsCreate and present proposals to partnersDesign and implement and recommend market research methods for product development, customer assessments and marketing surveillance, both domestically and globally aimed specifically at the youth market. Provide marketing strategy recommendations to clients, helping them to meet changing market and competitive conditionsEstablish and maintain an overall strategic marketing plan designed to build awareness of research capabilitiesMentor junior researchers, orienting them to strategic frames of analysisContinuously engage clients in consultative dialogue on their business needs Required Skills
A Masters degree (PhD preferred) in market research, social sciences, or statistics6-8 years of research experience, including a solid understanding of quantitative methods, emphasis in Youth market researchA working knowledge of statistical software and research supplier experience is a plusProven ability to manage a portfolio of projects, exceptional analytical capabilities and consulting skillsA solid statistical background along with a working knowledge of multivariate analysis; data modeling experience a plusAbility to apply qualitative research findingsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent in-person presentation skills and public speaking skillsAbility to analyze data and recommend action steps on team’s financial results.Ability to manage and develop career plans for staff.Please apply directly to: http://hostedjobs.openhire.com/epostings/jobs/submit.cfm?fuseaction=dspjob&jobid=280228&company_id=15605&jobboardid=24
