Summary of Duties:
We are seeking a Regional Sales Rep that is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for his/her region (all states west of Colorado). Responsible for developing sell-through strategies aligned with wireless carrier and retail partners to leverage product and brand position to achieve shared objectives. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop launch programs, and product positioning, driving consistency across advertising and other materials in the market.
This position will interact daily with channel marketing peers in other regions across the US, as well as interacts with existing partners to leverage strategies and deliver services through marketing collateral, marketing and e-communications, POS/POP, displays, events, direct mail, and advertising.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing market opportunities within region and creating programs and budgets to enhance short- and long-term business opportunities. Acts as primary marketing face to the customer, representing Channel Marketing. Program creation, sell-through strategy development responsibility for contribution to monthly planning process with view to maximizing sell through.Work closely internally with Marketing Communications, Corporate Communications teams. Establish strong relationships with Customer’s VP/GMs and Regional Marketing Managers to plan sell-through and co-branded strategies aligned with guidelines for brand and product positioning.Plan, develop, and direct implementation for added value marketing support to secure partner support.Provide monthly update on partner trends, assumptions, promotions, and competitive landscape with appropriate analysis and view to its impact on sales and marketing activities.Train partners’ sales force on marketing strategies and added value programs and promotions.Provide strategy and oversee the presentation development for meetings and reporting with specific requests and actions with supporting data and ROI analysis.Collaborate with sales team and provide direction on promotional activities to secure ad placements and promotions with operators and retailers.
Skills and Abilities Needed:
BS/BA degree is required1 year of sales, marketing, or ad agency experiencePrior marketing communication and or brand marketing experience is a plusStrong business writing and presentation skillsWillingness to work independentlySome (35%) travel within Southeast requiredAnalytical and business math competenciesStrong computer skills, with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint programsFamiliarity of wireless industry and consumer electronics is a plus.
