DescriptionReporting to the Director- -Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement, this position offers the opportunity to be become a member of a highly specialized team with high impact in driving the company's results. You will be responsible for identifying, leading and implementing Lean and Six Sigma product/process improvement projects to remove waste, improve quality, reduce cost, drive operational excellence initiatives, and financial improvements while working with, mentoring and developing Six Sigma Champions, Black Belts, and Green Belts. Candidate will provide a single point of contact for projects and manage projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services and various departments.Required Skills Six Sigma Black Certification Strong leadership and influence skills Required Experience Bachelors of Science in Engineering or equivalent work experience Experience with and applying the following tools: Basic Statistics FMEA -DOE / Regression Analysis MSE Process Mapping Control Plans Mistake Proofing Root Cause and Corrective Action Value Stream Mapping and Analysis Work Flow Improvement Set-Up Reduction TPM -Kaizen 5S Visual Workplace Certified 6 Sigma Black belt and/or Lean Expert Proven process improvement implementation success Ability to interact with all levels of the Organization Demonstrated success instructing Greenbelts, mentoring and coaching;leading Kaizen events Highly skilled in staff management/ team leadership Proven ability to effectively influence others not under direct supervision Project identification / generation Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Self motivated, results driven Position will require up to 50% travel and can be home-office based The ideal candidate will have solid expert level experience and knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts with Printing/Graphics industry experience.At Vertis, we provide our employees the opportunity to learn and grow within the organization while offering a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and vision plans, 401(k), basic life insurance and AD&D, vacation, paid holidays, and much more.Vertis conducts a comprehensive background investigation and requires that all employees pass a pre-employment drug test prior to the beginning of employment.
