Quality Assurance Analyst

Reporting into the VP of Technology, the QA Analyst’s principal task is to ensure the overall quality of new implementations, upgrades and ongoing customization efforts for BigBad’s clients. The candidate will be familiar with cross-functional project teams, have the personality to work with multiple teams such as Design, Information Architects, Interactive Strategists as well as Development.  The ideal candidate is a team player, quality conscious, very detail-oriented organized and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. He/She is also highly self motivated and enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Primary responsibility will be to ensure the features specified in the beginning of the project get documented, implemented, tested, and work bug-free.  You will write a test plan during the business requirements phase, work with our developers to ensure all deliveries have been thoroughly tested and vetted, manage the bug log, and work with the client to prioritize and categorize bugs entered (i.e. is it a feature request or a functional bug?)

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop and execute written test strategies/plans from the beginning of our 6-12-month lifecycle projects

· Work with our business analysts, information architects, designers, and developers to understand business requirements and come up with a test plan that will validate the product

· Report defects found and verify fixes implemented as a result

· Work with the Project Management team to assure deadlines are met and bugs are prioritized according to key milestones

Skills/Experience:

· Ideally at least one year of hands-on Software Quality Assurance, proofreading, or test experience

· Strong Internet/Computer skills.

· Proofreading background and a close attention to detail.

· Strong written skills

· Top-notch communication skills and ability to get along with anyone

· Aptitude, drive, enthusiasm and the passion to learn
