Promotions Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for executing overall promotions strategy, including product, pricing and value add (contests, coupons, sweepstakes, give-away) as well as packaging and merchandising configurations for the Consumer Tools & Storage business.
Responsibilities:Work with Channel Managers and Product Managers on promotions / value packs / mixed product on-packs Provide renderings to Sales Teams for all preliminary meetings with customers Initiate PSF and track through – assign SKU number for confirmed promos Obtain #1 Net - and Cost (finance approval) Finalize piece count, packaging/graphics structure Work with planners / plants to ensure promotional volume can be met within the requested lead-times Provide jpg / mock ups / samples of all products featured in promotion Follow up with product managers, channel managers, packaging, graphics, customer fulfillment, and sales teams to make sure all deadlines are being met Establishing costs and working with Global Product Managers and Finance for approval Creating collateral material (POP, literature, tie to website, etc) Coordinating packaging requirements with Channel Managers and Packaging team Working with third party vendors to fulfill special packaging needs Creating new promotional programs to support top customers and channel team Conduct a post promotion evaluation to gauge effectiveness, etc. Tracking of all US promotions to use as potential future promos
Requirements:Bachelors Degree - BS/BA in marketing or business (MBA preferred) Minimum of 1 year relevant and successful experience Previous track record of highly successful marketing development in consumer goods or a similar industry is preferred. Solid knowledge and experience with big-box channel (i.e. Home Depot, Wal*Mart). Proven ability to lead within a matrix environment and interface effectively with Sales, Product Management, Sales Planning and other various functions Solid project management skills
