Project Manager Marketing - (Co-Branded Credit Card Implementation)

With seventeen specialty shops all under one roof, our full array of products and services will thrill any sports enthusiast. In an effort to support our rapid company expansion, we are seeking a Project Manager to create and drive our marketing program for the Sport Chalet Co-Branded Credit Card! Our dynamic team strives to enhance the customers shopping experience, and is driven not to be the biggest, but the BEST!

The Project Manager within Marketing will be responsible for the creation, development and execution of the marketing program for the Sport Chalet co-branded credit card. This person will be responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure all partners are involved in the development and execution of the co-brand card. This includes, but is not limited to, associate education/training, review of a variety of collateral with the Legal and Creative departments, and execution of a strong marketing strategy. In partnership with our issuer, this person, along with the Senior Marketing Staff will be integral to the creation, development and implementation of the credit card program, as well as driving account acquisition and external spend on the portfolio.

Description:
Able to lead, leverage resources and establish realistic plans to deliver against multiple objectives and priorities on time and within budget.
Collaborate and drive partnership across all functions and levels to deliver to the needs of the project and priorities.
Maximize business acumen to identify and respond to trends in the business that may impact project scope.
Identify and leverage internal / external trends, resources and industry best practices.
Create analysis and trend reports.
Provide a clear vision and goal methodology to ensure accurate goals.
Partner with Store Communications team to ensure integration of co-branded credit card program.
Partner with Store Communications to shape field communication
strategy.
Develop field learning platform and educational tools.
Create and influence the Reward & Recognition program to ensure associate behaviors are being celebrated and rewarded specific to the co-branded credit card program.
Develop contests and incentives to motivate associate behaviors, specific to client acquisition.
Serve as corporate liaison between Home Office and field.
Maximize field travel to ensure consistent execution of the co-branded credit card strategy, as well as field best practices.
Develop new store strategies, specific to ensuring immediate compliance and accountability.
Provide input into the big picture. 
Responsible for the continuous improvement and on-going elevation of the co-branded credit card program through awareness of competitive landscape through active benchmarking.


Key Elements of Responsibility
Program Development:
Manage marketing activities that impact Sport Chalet, including customer direct mail, point of sale merchandising and promotion, employee training and corporate communications.
Work with internal and external creative agencies to develop, review and execute all aspects of co-branded marketing programs including: creative, collateral production, customer targeting.
Set up and facilitate store communication and associate training activities.
Ensure/monitor timely delivery all employee and promotion related materials for distribution.
Help create events and incentives to engage enthusiastic participation of Sport Chalet associates.
 
Measurement and Reporting:
Ensure program objectives are being met on bank statement messaging and web site content and other supplemental communication.
Help to develop and deliver marketing objectives and goals.

Market Intelligence:
Analyze customer service levels, consumer research and business metrics to identify and recommend initiatives.
Monitor competition and provide quarterly reporting of product & service comparison.

Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Merchandising, IS, Direct, Creative and other departments to understand, develop and execute strategic, customer-centric programs focused on driving loyalty among various customer segments.
Track progress and results on an ongoing basis and communicate to all partner stakeholders in a timely manner.
Skills / Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or Finance from a four-year college
or university (or related field).
3 - 5 years internal communications experience.
1 - 2 years of marketing experience, credit card marketing preferred.
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple projects
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to influence peers and Senior Leadership
High proficiency in Microsoft applications
Strong enthusiasm and commitment with a passion for results.
Detail oriented and proactive.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in loyalty, direct, co-brand card or retail marketing.
A proven track record working on collaborative cross-functional teams
A results-oriented, hands-on leader with exceptional drive.
Prior experience managing a credit card acquisition program in a retail
environment
