Responsible for product management, marketing and sales support activities related to clinical trials, launch and on-going management of deep brain stimulation (DBS) products in assigned areas. Some team members focus on upstream activities (product definition, development support through launch), and others focus on downstream activities (Marcomm, etc.). Major, On-Going Responsibilities: Responsible for execution of assigned elements of clinical recruitment and marketing plans related to branding, positioning, pricing, and market introduction of DBS products (in Europe and US). Manage product life cycle. Manage assigned product development marketing activities according to ANS design controls SOP. Conduct market research as required to assess customer needs, verify product requirements and evaluate design prototypes. Define requirements for new products and product enhancements. Collaborate with R & D throughout development phases. Develop directions for use and labeling. Assist regulatory and clinical departments with submission or studies as required. Coordinate production of recruitment and promotional and advertising materials according to FDA regulations and ANS promotional and labeling policies. Direct involvement of marketing support groups (MarComm, web, writers agency, PR) in projects as needed. Visit key customers to support clinical, marketing and sales objectives. Participate in VIP tours, and tradeshows as required. Define education & training needs for new product launches. Participate in Training activities as needed. Provide on-going product and sales support. Provide technical support to field when needed. Work with the Sales and Training departments to provide information required for key messaging and selling tips. Analyze competitive activities and develop strategies/tactics in response. Analyze sales, production and market data. Develop metrics to measure key indicators. Provide demand forecasts.Experience & Training:· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience· Minimum 5 years experience in a medical device related industry (implantable device company preferred), in a product management or marketing position with product launch experiences. · Neurosurgery experience a plus.· Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.· Working knowledge of surgery and central nervous system anatomy.· Familiarity with healthcare/medical regulatory, quality and reimbursement environment.· Results-oriented team player able to foster cooperation within a working group or team.· Ability to work as effectively on a multitude of projects in a fast-paced environment.· Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and sales reps.· Ability to observe and support neurosurgical procedures in the operating room.· Foreign language a plus.
