SUMMARY:

The Payroll Department team processes the semi-monthly payroll using PeopleSoft (PS) and ADP PC Payroll for Windows (PCPW) for approximately 4500 employees in over 30 U.S. locations using several different company codes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

Each Payroll Processor is responsible for the following duties for the company codes assigned:

· Review PS reports detailing data entered by HR contacts at the various locations 

· Import electronic files into ADP PCPW

· Review and adjust imported data in ADP pay data batches or manual entries as needed for additional/late transactions affecting the current pay period

· Identify and enter “prior taxable� information for company code transfers

· Review garnishment documents and enter in ADP PCPW

· Enter manual entries in ADP PCPW for Relocation Allowances, Tuition Reimbursements, Gross-ups, etc.

· Enter stock transactions in PS for subsequent import into ADP PCPW

· Review ADP Audit Reports before transmitting to ADP to verify transactions entered

· Transmit payroll files to ADP

· Download files from ADP including Management Reports and set up for next cycle

· Review ADP output Audit Reports after processing to confirm transactions processed

· Review ADP Multi-Jurisdictional Reports to identify and correct errors

· Prepare manual checks as needed between pay cycles

· Adjust direct deposit coding in PS and ADP for Prenote Returns and ACH Notifications received from bank and notify employees via YREESS email

· Maintain central binders with back-up documentation for all manual checks, voids, reversals, and direct deposit recalls, and verify that all items have been entered into ADP PCPW  

· Answer questions from HR contacts and employees

· Work with Payroll Manager to investigate and resolve issues raised by HR contacts and/or employees

· Process and file state withholding tax forms submitted by employees

· Assist in special projects as needed

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Three to five years prior payroll experience

· Proficient use of ADP PC Payroll for Windows

· Detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills

· Good communication skills

· Ability to work together in a team environment

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge of PeopleSoft

· Strong computer skills including proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Internet
