Fastenal Company is a service-based corporation where a ‘typical’ workday is the exception.  As an employee, you will be challenged with new and diverse job responsibilities each day.  Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

* Selling industrial and construction supplies business to business (5-10 mile territory from local branch location w/use of company vehicle)* Developing and executing a sales plan in a local territory * Cold calling on manufacturing, maintenance, construction, job sites, and other industrial accounts* Maintain and grow existing customer base * Handle collections for assigned accounts * Maintain customer inventory programs The focus of this position is outside sales however sales representatives provide branch support including inside sales, purchasing, receiving, packing orders, deliveries, sourcing, and inventory management. Successful candidates must: * Be customer-service oriented * Possess excellent communication skills

* Have a positive attitude * Possess a valid drivers license and a good driving record * Have the ability to grow new and existing customer relationships * Possess the ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a team environment * Possess the ability to set up appointments and weekly schedules with customers
