Network / System Administrator

We are currently seeking a Network / System Administrator who will report to the IT Manager in our New York office.  The Network / System Administrator will be primarily responsible for the management and administration of the NY office LAN, servers, and VoIP equipment.  This position is part of a larger IT team that sits in both NY and Austin, TX with responsibility for a newly and to-be-implemented worldwide infrastructure. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Ensure day-to-day smooth operation of the computer network, including LAN switches, server 

hardware and software, VoIP-related equipment

· Ensure all IT policies, change management policies, security policies and SOX compliance policies

are followed

· Maintain virtualized file/print, application, web and other servers

· Maintain Cisco LAN switches

· Maintain Cisco VoIP equipment, including installs/moves/adds/changes

· Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to IT Management as requested

·  Partner with Austin IT for all North America and global IT projects

· Other duties as requested

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Cisco switches, including experience with creating and managing multiple VLAN’s

· Cisco VoIP hardware and phones, including Call Manager

· Windows Server 2003 and 2008, including Active Directory and GPO management

· VMWare ESX Server

· SAN experience

 

 

ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

· Prior experience with a Windows-based DFS implementation

· Sharepoint implementation and management

· Dell server hardware

· Desktop engineering background, including creating images, GPO’s and scripting

· Ghost Solution Suite

· WSUS

· Symantec Antivirus Enterprise Edition

· Exchange 2003 / 2007

· BES 4.x
