Media Planning Supervisor - Mitsubishi

POSTION OVERVIEW FOR MEDIA PLANNING SUPERVISOR:Job Description: At PHD, Media Supervisors manage the day-to-day of their clients’ media plans as well as managing relationships with the account teams. This position will oversee workflow while producing a strong media product. Accountable for staff training and development junior staff. Serves as a positive role model with can-do attitude. Supervisor is concerned with the creation of great media plans as well as flawless execution and operates in an Account Manger role. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ability to understand clients’ needs and translate them into media strategy• Reviews all work to ensure high quality standard • Initiates creative and business building ideas• Stays current with changes in marketplace • Maintains status reports to ensure efficient work flow in order to meet deadlines • Keeps AMD apprised of projects/workload • Writes call reports of key meetings • Leads internal meetings with other departments • Curious; builds comprehensive media knowledge base. • Synthesizes information into ideas, which will put clients on leading edge of media change• Strong negotiator • Operates as an Account Manager QUALIFICATIONS: • Must be extremely detail oriented and self-starter with strong initiative • Extremely creative, out-of-the-box thinker with good strategic skills• Mentor type mentality for junior staff • Ability to juggle multiple accounts • Effective communication and management skills • Strong ability to manage client relationships • Proactive and enthusiastic manner • Shows willingness to “go the extra mile� EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s degree preferably in advertising, marketing, or communicationsEXPERIENCE: • Preferably 5-6 years previous media industry experience, no less than 4 years of experience in planning all media, with some trade experience.
