THE JOB: Currently accepting resumes for a Media Planning Supervisor
THE PLACE: New York, NY
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Supervisor's has day-to-day responsibility for the planning and implementation of media plans as they are developed by various planners within the group.Establishing a daily rapport with account groups and/or clients to gain a complete understanding of all marketing and media questions relevant to the account.Brainstorming with Planners to establish objectives and insure that all reasonable alternatives are examined. This requires reviewing all recommendations and providing appropriate direction for supplemental rationale if needed. Presenting recommendations to key client personnel. Setting and achieving due dates, which requires that daily requests be channeled through the Supervisor.The Supervisor work with Planners to establish priorities and control work flow. Training Planners in strategic media thinking and communications skills; insuring that Assistant Planners receive proper training by meeting with them regularly to discuss media topics.Required Skills
Must have seven (7)+ years of media planning (not buying) experience (ideally-- 7-10 years)Must have experience planning in traditional LOCAL media-- Spot TV, Spot Radio, Outdoor, Newspaper, Cable TV-- online & other media is a bonusMust have good research skillsMust have good writing and presentation skills-- and be comfortable with clientsWould be great if he/she has auto experience-- but not a must
