Carat is a full service, award winning agency that is part of one of the world’s fastest growing marketing communications groups, Aegis Media.Communications Planning SupervisorThe Communications Planning Supervisor (CPS) is responsible for ensuring that communications strategies are effectively translated into plans and for leading the development and implementation of those plans. It is a highly supportive position with leadership opportunities related to the following deliverables: media objectives, strategies, plans, flowcharts, buying guidelines, testing plans & results analysis, budget summaries, and plan delivery/maintenance. Responsibilities:Primarily accountable for output timeliness, accuracy, and overall excellence. Support Associate/Communications Planning Director in the collection and evaluation of syndicated consumer and media consumption information and play a contributing role in the creation of the communications plans. Provide insight and input into existing and emerging media opportunities (via thorough awareness of available media and marketing services vendors) that would be relevant to the assigned brand/category and ensure that opportunities within them are presented and communicated to the Carat and client teams. Leverage thorough understanding of the P&G Media AOR and Reach-Based planning process and procedures to help achieve communications planning objectives and optimize media investment. Oversee the consistent reporting of competitive market/media information for each brand/category. Serve as a facilitating contact point for P&G’s internal media staff and the primary contact point to P&G’s brand staff when media issues are discussed. Lead the process of strategic media planning/execution and serve as a resource for planners and assistants for advice and counsel. Report up through Associate Communications Planning Director or Communications Planning Director; provide support to and receive support from P&G VP, Media Leadership. Qualities:4-6 years in Media Planning Experience in creating and selling in media programs and able to articulate strategic foundation for their development Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively Curious about understanding Communications Planning Developing solid foundation of understanding of media fundamentals Dedicated work ethic and passionate about having an important role in marketing process High attention to detail; high commitment to excellence
