Junior Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join our North American finance team and assist our Controller with the accounting and reporting of the US operations.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Manage accounts payable transactions, including review of expense, ensure proper approvals and process for payment.

· Support team in the monthly close process, including journal entry preparation, accruals preparation and account analysis.

· Assist in the preparation of group reporting requirements

· Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled and analyzed and in accordance with the company’s accounting policies.

· Manage and maintain the accounting for fixed assets, including acquisitions, dispositions, and depreciation.

· Manage intercompany transactions, including confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.

· Ensure that financial transactions are executed in accordance with SOX requirements.

· Provide analytic support to senior management as requested.



REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.

· Three to five years of strong general ledger and reporting experience required.

· Strong Excel skills and experience with GAAP a must.

· Excellent organizational skills, self-driven with a keen attention to detail. 

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with senior management effectively.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
