RMG Connect, part of JWT, is seeking a Sr. Java Developer to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview

Lead Developer for assigned client, accounts and projects. Develop interfaces, templates, and the tools to navigate a web site. Performs unit testing at the page level, contributes to code standards document, and leads code reviews. Reviews specifications and provides time estimates on the development of projects and features. Partners with IA, Designer, Copywriter and Flash Developer to ensure quality Experience Design deliverables.

Responsibilities

Leadership

· Acts to serve as a "role model" for other developers assigned to project work, including time management, attendance and basic professional bearing

· Directs and leads the developers to understand standards and new technologies.

· Meets with project managers to review project needs from a development standpoint.

· Is an advocate for the Interactive Development discipline in interactions between designers and back-end developers, including best practices and processes.

· Attends meetings and represents the development team on a regular basis

 

Technical Knowledge

· Produce clean, semantic markup that can be easily modified by other team members.

· Develop elegant web solutions that perform appropriately and degrade gracefully in multiple browsers, platforms, and media types.

 

Innovation

· Proactively seeks new opportunities to use new technologies that enhance the clients’ site.

 

Execution

· Consistently handles coding multiple pages in order to deliver on deadlines

· Ensures that code has been unit-tested and validated before delivery to QA

 

Relationships

· Provide timeline estimates for the development phase of upcoming projects.

· Communicates effectively and respectfully with staff and clients on development needs

Review information architecture and creative designs for feasibility; advise other disciplines of obstacles and negotiates solutions within project scope, timeline, and budget

Requirements

· 5+ years of professional web development experience

· Expert-level knowledge of XHTML, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Photoshop.

· Strong attention to detail; ability to unit test work for technical and visual excellence.

· Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within tight timeframes.

· Experience with Content Management Systems and Web Accessibility Guidelines/Section508 strongly preferred.
