Insurance Broker opening in New York. Insurance Broker to join the National Fiduciary Liability Practice (NFLIP). This is a service-oriented position, and the ideal candidate will work to maintain and cultivate relationships with existing and new clients. The Insurance Broker working within the Practice provides a specialized service for clients (primarily Multiemployer) and collaborates with other members of the team, placing fiduciary liability insurance, fidelity bonds, and other specialized insurance products. Responsible for the renewal and placement of Fiduciary Insurance and Fidelity Bonds, and has considerable interaction with clients, benefits consultants, fund counsel, and carriers. The Insurance Broker provides day-to-day account service for the book of business assigned, makes recommendations to clients based on quotes received from carriers, and prepares correspondence to both clients and consultants. Must have a valid good standing New York State Property and Casualty Insurance license or obtain one within sixty days of employment. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience in the insurance industry, specifically Property and Casualty. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), a strong familiarity with insurance terminology, and the ability to prioritize are essential. This position requires a solid knowledge of PCs, the ability to work independently and in a timely manner, and a high degree of accuracy. Some travel may be required. Salary $open.
