Infrastructure Support Technician

Evaluate, implement, configure, support and maintain computer workstations and peripheral equipment, servers, telecommunications equipment, and data network equipment, such that they function in a stable, secure, efficient manner.

1. Install and support workstations and peripheral hardware and software. Monitor, maintain, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues reported by our users. Provide technical expertise to users and peers.
2. With the guidance of the Server Engineering team, assist in installing, configuring, and supporting and associated equipment, including installation planning and trouble ticket resolution.
3. With the guidance of the Network Engineering team, assist in installing, configuring, and supporting network elements. Perform configuration updates as necessary. Troubleshoot and monitor network performance.
4. With the guidance of the Telecom Engineering team, assist in installing, configuring, and supporting telephony elements. Perform configuration updates as necessary. Troubleshoot and monitor performance.
5. Travel is required, typically about 20 – 30% per week.

Two year degree preferred. Candidate must have 2-3 years job related experience. Ability to travel 20%-30% of time. Postion requires knowledge/experience with technical skills regarding configuration and support of: workstations and server software and peripherals; routers and switches; telecommunications protocols; troubleshooting skills; customer-first attitude.
