IT Operations Support Tech

LifeScript, recently ranked as one of the fastest growing US companies, is currently looking for an IT Operations Support Technician.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Constant, proactive monitoring, testing and analysis of a production environment (websites, servers, networks, etc).Working closely with internal support groups and external service providers to identify, resolve or coordinate the resolution of Network and System problems and issuesPerforming first level hardware/software problem analysis, identification and resolution or escalation; execute notification procedures.Performing incident management as needed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge/Experience of Network Management Tools General knowledge and experience with Microsoft operating systemsWorks effectively with cross-functional teams and must be flexible enough to deal with different technical skill levels, skill sets and highly dynamic work environment and schedules.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Must be available to work weekends, nights, and holidays, as well as provide on call support.Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.Must be able to travel locally on an as needed basis Must be available for immediate consideration Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, must be able to stand, sit, bend, stretch, pull push and or type without limitations and must be able to climb and/or descend stairs without assistance, if necessary.

 

EXPERIENCE:Excellent written and oral communication skills 2+ years experience supporting Windows 2000/XP networks, workstations and users Microsoft certification (MCDST) is a plus A+ certification is a plus Familiarity with IP networks, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory. High level of initiative and dedication Demonstrated ability to be a team player and willingness to lend a hand with any projectNOC or 24/7 support experience is a plusExperience with network and/or telephone cabling is a plus
