High School Outreach Representative

Description:  The High School Outreach Representative (HSOR) is responsible for recruiting qualified students for The Los Angeles Film School’ accredited degree programs. The successful candidate will have a background in or a passion for student recruitment. The HSOR will be the San Diego County representative for The Los Angeles Film School, and as such must have truly exceptional presentation, communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for the entertainment industry and higher education.

Responsibilities: With support from the event coordinator, conduct 15-20 onsite high school presentation activities per month.

·      Meet with teachers at the end of the school day to discuss degree programs offered through The Los Angeles Film School.

·      Meet with potential students and their parents through in-home meetings to discuss The Los Angeles Film School and the degree programs offered.

·      Understand and present all The Los Angeles Film School degree programs.

·      Coordinate and work with other field staff, event coordinator, and others to plan strategic recruitment efforts.

·      Build relationships with current leads, students as well as alumni to identify new sales channels to present The Los Angeles Film School degree programs.

·      Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all The Los Angeles Film School degree programs, and the complexities of the entertainment industry to speak to the necessity of a higher education degree within the industry.

·      Assist in other field-based efforts on behalf of The Los Angeles Film School as required.




Experience Required:

·      Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

 

Skills Required:

·      Successful face-to-face sales experience (strongly preferred)

·      Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

·      A self-motivated and professional demeanor

·      Ability to overcome objections

·      Innovative personality with a desire to generate new business, leads, and students

 

Measurement of Success:

§  Bi annual performance review and periodic meetings with Assistant Director and Vice President of Admissions.
