Job Description

R/GA is looking to hire a Group Resource Manager who will be responsible for  overseeing the organization’s Group Allocations practice.  This role will entail the daily management of a team of Resource Coordinators in addition to overseeing the resources for a small group of accounts.  This person will fill an essential role in developing new ways to increase efficiency in capturing bandwidth across team resources, and facilitate the sharing of resources amongst Group Coordinators.  More importantly, this person will be responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring the Resource Team. 

 

 

Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing the workflow of the resource team and facilitate the collaboration of the Group Coordinators on a daily and weekly basis for intra-group resource sharing Hire, mentor, and train Group Resource Coordinators and conduct annual performance reviewsProvide functional guidance for group operational tasks such as compiling group reports, tracking bandwidth/utilization and tracking issues for respective department headsDevelops and implements process and/or operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of group bandwidth managementPoint of contact for departments heads in escalating any information related to: group rotations, retention/employee relations, increase or decrease in workflow, and projected staffing needs Gain knowledge and understanding of collective organizational resourcing needs across departments and communicating those needs to both Recruitment and OperationsPrepare monthly utilization reports across all groups, various group metric reports around efficiency and staffing projection reports for COOMonitor Group bandwidth and maximize efficiency across team resourcesWork closely with recruiters, coordinators and HR to ensure proper placement of internal and external resourcesSpecial projects as assignedOrganize and facilitate meetings with key Group leads regarding overall Group staff allocationsResponsible for logging Group allocations into company tracking system

 

 

Requirements

 Knowledge of digital media industry a plus5-7 years of traffic or operations experience in a production environment; management experience mandatoryPossess strong command of MS Excel and familiarity with enterprise management applications Must have excellent interpersonal skills  Superior written and verbal communication Must work collaboratively to develop staffing solutions Quick, creative problem solverWorks well under pressure; detail oriented  Self-motivated; organizedSome budgeting experience in Production a plus Basic knowledge of disciplines within a digital agency a strong plus (e.g., Flash, .net, After Effects, 3D-Motion, etc)
