Graphic / Production Artist Skills Required: Production Artist Job Description: Graphic / Production Artist - Advertising AgencyIf you are a graphic artist with solid layout and typography skills and are looking to work for a growing agency around the Burbank, CA area ... read on!We are an expanding interactive ad agency with a focus in the entertainment and gaming realm and are looking for well-rounded and highly motivated individual to become a part of our production team. The ideal candidate will possess a 3 - 5 years experience and will be knowledgeable with various layout programs, post-production processes, and pre-press. Attention to fixed deadlines, ability to deliver materials, edits, and final files in a timely manner are mandatory. Must have knowledge of the post-production process including; file rebuilding, color correction/conversion, mechanicals, and printing processes. This is a hands-on position, and the ideal candidate will have solid color conversion and color correction skills working with complicated Photoshop files, containing numerous layers, up to 6GB. Video Game experience a plus. Pre-press experience a plus, and knowledge of preparing files for production is mandatory. Ability to rebuild lo-res comps into final hi-res art is a must. Solid knowledge of Quark, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, no exceptions.Experience• Ability to communicate well and understand feedback is very important. • Must be able to decipher and work within established templates, and be capable of setting-up original templates. • Advanced knowledge of Quark Express 6.0, Illustrator CS, PhotoShop CS2 (or 3), InDesign and Acrobat. • Must be Mac OS 10 proficient, no exceptions. • Must have at least 3 - 5 years of prior experience with layout, design, and typography. • Setting up and preparing complex mechanicals for printing is mandatory in this position, both Quark and InDesign. • Experience in and understanding of design is a plus, not mandatory. • Ability to follow direction and a set of mandatory guidelines is required.So, if you are a graphic artist with solid layout and typography skills and are looking to work for a growing agency around the Burbank, CA area ...
