Graphic Designer (Web and print)

We are currently seeking a multiple contract graphic designer for our Fortune 500 financial client located in the Richmond, VA market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day web and print design activities Tasks include but are not limited to ·  Develop & execute creative treatments for product brochures, comparisons, fact sheets, postcards, folders, forms, & other related print products;·  Consult with appropriate sales, marketing and product subject matter experts to refine needs assessments, timelines and budget parameters. ·  Design & produce camera-ready art including graphs, charts, clip art, posters, digitization of graphics, line-art &/or photos; create electronically-designed page layouts and forms·  Import word processing and spreadsheet files into page layouts, including web-based graphics. ·  Concept & create electronic promotions including e-ads, bulletins, mastheads, micro site treatments, and more to support new product release and sustained promotions. ·  Conceptualize, source, design, and produce promotional items such as trade show booth panels, premiums, packaging, bags, labels, etc. ·  Deliver the framework to support product-specific trade advertising; Requirements for Consideration·  5+ years with an agency or corporate design team·  Mastery over use of color, layout and typography to achieve marketing objectives·  Consistent delivery of work products on time & within budget·  Proven ability to interact & concept with marketing, copywriting & product subject matter experts·  Demonstrated ability to accept and execute against creative direction.·  Proficient working with publishing software (QuarkXpress, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign)·  Web & presentation-based protocols (HTML, XML, Flash, Dreamweaver, Director, Javascript and PPT)·  Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)·  Equal proficiency using PCs and Macs.·  Strong attention to detail·  Oversight of production environments; management of four color pre-press & press checks. -Comfort working in fast-paced environment To Apply for This position:Please send a copy of your resume to EricSpence@spherion.com or apply directly through Monster.
