General Ledger Accountant

Position Summary:
The GL Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly general ledger close and subsequent preparation/analysis of consolidated financial statements

Key Accountabilities
Assist in preparation of all monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements
Work with Revenue Accounting team to prepare and review month-end revenue entries
Prepare SF office journal entries for review and approval
Review regional office journal entries and submit for final review and approval
Post journal entries in Adware
Review bank statement reconciliations
Prepare draft sales tax returns each month
Assist with monthly BS and PL variance analysis and explanations
Enter FIC financial data
Communicate with parent company representatives as needed to help ensure accurate/timely financial reporting
Prepare monthly Bad Debt Reserve calculation and associated report
Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account analysis
Review AP coding and AR transaction detail
Facilitate AR credit and collections activities
Review regional office Media Buying monthly reconciliation
Participate in annual planning process and H1/H2 budget updating cycles
Perform other special projects and analysis as needed by Assistant Controller, Controller and CFO
Assist with independent outside audits

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum Six years related experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Extensive knowledge of computer spreadsheet programs and other relevant computer software programs, knowledge of Adware Software a plus
CPA a plus
