Whatever it is - I certainly think you need to 'size us up' and see if this position could further your career.We're looking for someone that is currently a Director level professional in Product Management to own and drive the development of our products (website and apps). We're currently ranked top 30 on Comscore, and rising quickly, with revenue growing 35-40% in the hundreds of millions. From day one, you'd be managing a team of Sr. Product Managers and Product Managers. This means that you'd be jumping in and working with them, engineering, marketing, senior management, Research & Development, and QA - to improve current offerings and get new products out. These include our next generation version of the main site as well as the other sites we're developing that focus outside our core, growing demographic. You'll also help PM's get over the hurdles in managing their products and grow their skills/careers as PMs.Responsibilities/Requirements for this position will include: • Leading product development for online consumer oriented applications and services. • Problem-solving and analytical abilities • Ownership and driving of results. • Improve product quality, user experience, and drive development. • Aggressively explore new technologies so that we can advance our product leadership.• 'Top notch' organizational and time management skills too • Owning features - the entire design process from beginning to end, product plans, ensuring the feature's success, and project managing their development.• Experience in defining and writing product and feature requirements and functional specifications What kind of questions do I have for you? A lot of them will be about your track record and how you'd apply your skills.• Have you been successful in leading product development for consumer facing online products? (ideally search or local search related) • Do you have a history of being an 'owner and problem solver' and capable of molding and evolving products? • Did you continuously improve product quality and user-experiences in a highly competitive landscape? • Can you say that you work closely with technology teams and have hands-on execution skills such as creating wireframes, functional specs, process/user flows, etc.? • Have you been successful working with development teams and bringing world-class user facing web applications to market? • Have you had enough experience in product management/development in the right arena? (5+ years in online consumer facing would be great) • Do you have experience with rapid design and development? • Are you used to working in Agile Development or a similar methodology? • Do you have experience managing Product Managers? • Do you have a good understanding of the development technologies for rich internet applications?This position is perfect for someone that has superior interpersonal, teamwork, collaborations skills, and a history of success in a similar role.
