Director of Research

Responsibilities:

·Works onlarge-scale strategic quantitative, qualitative and mixed methodology projectsfor industry-leading brands

·Leads and growsa team of direct reports including Account Managers and Account Directors

·Provideshigh-level client strategy, relationship-building and presentations for marqueeclients

·Participates inthe new business development process including brainstorming methodologies,proposal development and presentations

·Interpretsadvanced statistical methods, including regression analysis, clustering proceduresand correspondence analysis

·Works with cross-departmentalcounterparts to continuously identify opportunities for process improvement

·Diplomaticallyresponds to difficult or unusual client issues and is able to professionallyinfluence the appropriate internal resources to necessary outcome or knows if/whento elevate issue

·Creates in-depthanalytic conclusions and recommendations that consider client needs and generalindustry knowledge to generate insights beyond the numbers

·Proactivelymanages contract renewal process as needed

·Develops andmanages the business unit staffing strategies and plans, including teamcomposition, team performance, skills, training and mentoring

·Develops,implements and monitors quality standards across all deliverables

·Proactivelymanages the success of production scope, schedules and budgets

·Understands,embraces, and communicates corporate mission and values

 

 

Qualifications:

·10+ years ofmarketing research experience with a core focus on quantitative research

·Significantexperience with online quantitative methodologies

·Adept atsampling procedures, survey design and advanced analysis

·Ability todeliver research findings, recommendations, and give a powerful presentation

·Experiencemanaging and leading a team

·Interest orexperience in Internet and technology as an industry

·Relationshipdevelopment skills

·Critical thinkingand creativity

·Detail orientedand entrepreneurial

·MBA or advancedquantitative degree preferred

·Experience withqualitative research preferred
