Director of Project Services

 

We are an Interactive Agency with top clients located conveniently off the Garden State Parkway in Northern NJ.  We focus on delivering smarter strategies and implementation of consumer campaigns for innovative pharmaceutical brands. We are currently looking for a hands-on Director of Project Services to manage our Project Services Group as well as interfacing with our Account, Creative and Technical teams.

 Job Description

 

The Director of Project Services is responsible for the internal management of interactive marketing projects which make creative use of the web, databases and email to communicate with consumers.  The successful candidate is a hands-on manager and will be accountable for the department’s involvement in all project phases from initiation through to implementation by working closely with account teams, creative, developers, graphic designers, testers and business partners as well as managing the Project Services staff. Primary responsibilities are to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, on spec and on budget.  This person will report directly into DKI’s Founder/President and with also work closely with the senior management team to refine the company's processes, which may include providing expertise and input regarding standards, best practices, methodologies and resource planning.  

 

 Responsibilities:

 

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, on spec and on budget

· Manage estimates, schedules, resources and time/material budgets

· Work directly with agency teams and client partners

· Initiate the SOW process (new project analysis / requirements / scoping)

· Forecast project deliverables and dependencies

· In-depth involvement with day-to-day tasks to allow for early identification of potential challenges

· Some Client interfacing upon request from account team

· Change Management / requirements / re-scoping

· Familiar with a variety of process methodologies

· Mentor department staff members

· Direct management of certain client account(s)

 

 Required Skills:

 

· 5-7 years of Project Management experience working with web/interactive projects; interactive advertising campaign experience a big plus

· Practiced in the basics of project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning)

· Experience with project management tools (ex. Microsoft Project)

· Strong multi-tasking skills to plan and manage multiple project details simultaneously

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong relationship management skills

· Resourcefulness / Proactivity / Problem Solving

· Ability to deliver under tight deadlines

· Strong people management skills; experience managing at least two or more staffers

· Experience with Marketing and/or Pharma-related projects a plus

· Passion for marketing communications and technology a big plus
