Role: Director of Advertising Accounts

Kindsight is seeking a Director of Advertising Accounts with expertise in developing key strategic relationships with performance based ad agencies and direct advertisers for both display and search marketing. This individual will be spearheading the development and growth of the company’s ad sales team. This role requires deep industry expertise and proven sales ability. The ideal candidate possesses a broad base of industry contacts and has recently worked for ad networks/publishers selling and managing direct and indirect advertiser accounts. This role is based in Sunnyvale, California


Responsibilities include:

· Sign on advertising business opportunities through effective selling of the Kindsight ad solution.

· Develop compelling ad selling strategy and messaging that will be used as the customer facing communication of Kindsight’s ad business

· Maintain and up-sell existing ad partner relationships resulting in high revenue share opportunities with these partners

· Draw upon candidate’s own existing advertising relationships to build new business opportunity and sales for performance and brand based advertising initiatives

· Manage negotiations for all sell side activities and facilitate and support buy side negotiations

· Work closely with Ad Operations to check campaign performance and work to ensure campaign success

· Ability to think creatively ‘outside the box’ to bring new and compelling business opportunities that prove value to Kindsight’s partners and the bottom line

· Role will also involve checking inventory availability and up sell advertising accounts where vertical coverage is low

· Educate and establish Kindsight as being at the forefront in next generation targeting and optimization technology.

· Upon meeting revenue goals and demonstrated need for expansion, you may be responsible for hiring and managing additional account executives



Requirements:

· 5-7 years of online ad sales experience ideally with experience developing relationships with performance advertisers and agencies

· Experienced in ad arbitrage techniques and requirements

· Relevant outside sales experience calling on advertising agencies and direct advertisers

· Proven success in managing accounts and up selling; responsible for renewing ad accounts.

· This individual must show great drive and persistence and have the ability to close deals.

· Understand the needs and requirements of performance vs. brand based advertising and marketing

· Show a high degree of self-motivation and works well within an individual and team environment

· Must have a history of quota attainment; ideally has experience creating sales goals for an account executive team

· A proven track record of exceeding targets

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high-level of initiative

· Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills

· Demonstrated self-direction and ability to work autonomously
