Data Manager/Jr Analyst

Research International – a global leader in custom marketing research – is seeking a Data Manager/Analyst with 1-2 years experience to join a high-visibility project team for a leading beverage client company. The ideal candidate will have both exceptional data skills and a strong interest in learning about consumer marketing research data and analysis.

Experience with software packages such as SAS, SPSS, etc. is required. Expert knowledge of Excel is a must. Familiarity with graphical presentation of data in PowerPoint is preferred.

 

Responsibilities include:

· Ongoing management of a large scale database containing 3 million + records for a high-profile beverage client

· Data coding, processing, cleaning, etc. to ensure quality control at all stages

· Executing customized data runs to address specific client requests (working with client service team)

· Assist in creation of automated reporting to reduce workload on larger data team

· Communicating with junior-level client contacts when necessary to handle special requests

 

 

A strong candidate will:

· Have a keen interest in mining data to investigate marketing- and strategy-related business questions

· Be diligent and meticulous in checking their own work, possess strong initiative, and ambition

· Be able to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and client pressure

· Have a working knowledge of statistical models (preferred but not required)

· Some experience with advanced data analysis

 

This position is based our in Stamford, CT office.
