We are seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to be responsible for the strategic and operational management of marketing and communications for the hospital. Primary responsibilities include planning, organizing and directing the organization’s short and long-term marketing activities, including defining new markets, developing new marketing strategies, and conducting objective market research that is designed to evaluate the hospital’s delivery of health care services to its patient population. Additionally, the ideal candidate will provide specific recommendations that will enhance the hospital’s reputation in the marketplace by developing and executing a brand strategy; serve as official spokesperson to all media; and direct public relations programs that focus on public interest and goodwill.

 

In-Depth Responsibilities: 

 Identify a core messaging, branding and marketing strategy which leverages and emphasizes notable strengths and medical specialties of TBHCDevelop a clear and easy-to-articulate Positioning Statement based on internal and external marketing research.Assume responsibility for strategic communication: the strategy and oversight of implementation including web presence and digital resourcesDesign and sustain integrated communications programs to secure desired responses from target audiences, internal and external, and maintain a positive image in the community, advancing the organization’s reputation and relationships with an emphasis on promoting TBHC’s profileServe in a leadership role in regards to the organization’s strategic planning process and crisis communications initiatives Build strong, collaborative working relationships with all constituencies to ensure consistency of communicationsDevelop and publish periodic newsletters for both internal and external audiencesProactively promote TBHC personnel in the media Establish and oversee a formal marketing research function. Data needs to be constantly managed and updated to stay currentOrganize and implement a crisis communications program which ensures a proactive, timely and effective response to unforeseen circumstancesIn conjunction with the CEO and senior staff make recommendations for annual budget adjustments as necessary to maximize results and productivity

 

Minimum of ten (10) years of integrated marketing and communications experience inside a large, complex setting, preferably in health care; a demonstrated, in-depth understanding of, and specific experience in, developing and implementing branding and strategic marketing plans in both traditional and new media; a proven track record of delivering high-quality marketing and communications initiatives that achieve targeted goals; and experience in strategic marketing and communications counsel to executive leadership are required. Superb organizational and written/verbal communications skills; and the ability to formulate measurable market research strategies and meaningfully interpret the data in a health care setting.
