DIGITAL (FLASH) DESIGNER
GM R*Works' Digital Design group in Detroit seeks applications for a DIGITAL (FLASH) DESIGNER who will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing and executing digital creative needs for internal and external clientele. The projects will vary from client to client and will typically have short time frames to execute and produce. Projects will include team assignments and independent projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Producing online advertisements for multiple clients using existing creative or developing from scratch.
· Providing ongoing creative support to existing and new digital projects for both internal and external clientele as required
· Creating and producing standard media and interactive Flash advertising to predefined specifications for online media buys or 3rd party support requirements
· Assisting in ongoing creative maintenance support of existing projects such as banners, websites, etc. Work with other Agencies of Record on joint digital projects and provide necessary support and input as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Systems/software:
· Strong portfolio of Flash-based animations
· Proficient in Actionscript programming
· Experience with Actionscript 2 and OOP.
· Proficient knowledge of Flash Compression techniques and file structuring practices.
· Proficient knowledge of Flash animation techniques using both the timeline and programmatic motion.
· Experience creating dynamic Flash applications that use XML and server side technologies. Flash Remoting and Communication Server experience a plus.
· Proficient knowledge of encoding audio and video within Flash.
· Proficient with Photoshop/Illustrator/Fireworks
· Experience with HTML/Javascript/XML
Education/Experience:
· 3 years of relevant employment experience as a digital designer
· Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience preferred; digital agency preferred
· Ability to support off-hour (night, weekends) requests when needed
· Other database/digital experience/knowledge a plus
