The position of Credit Representative supports the credit supervisor by reviewing weekly orders for approval; develops credit histories; interprets credit information and may visit sales offices and cutomer locations; initiates collection activity on delinquent account receivables; contacts customers by phone or letter to facilitate collections; responds to customer phone calls and corresponsdence in a timely manner; interprets credit applications and trade credit reports; establish credit limits up to limit of authority; and presents recommendations to supervisor for larger credit limits; complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.

The Credit department is a very fast paced work environment that requires multi-tasking and conducting 200-300 inbound and outbound calls weekly, collecting on multiple accounts at one time, and the ability to work independently.

Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.

Synthesizes all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables

Uses multiple resources, quantitative, and qualitative research methodologies to capture and interpret information.

Proficient at maintaining budgets and cost effectiveness, interpreting financial reports, and recommending appropriate corrective actions.

Proficiency in using Excel, Lotus, or other applicable accounting and financial software to record or analyze financial information.
