Coordinator – Influential Monitoring & Measurement
Overview:
The Influential Monitoring & Measurement (IMM) team provides clients and account partners insight into communications results and opportunities. The team provides a variety of services, including monitoring of coverage, event reporting and ongoing trend measurement and analysis to help assess progress against goals and identify learnings for future opportunities. The goal of the IMM team is to allow clients to glean insights and learn about various influentials such as analysts, media and bloggers, and ultimately help clients more successfully connect with end users and make their business efforts more productive.
Various online search engines are used to search the internet across all sources: mainstream media, blogs, community sites, etc. All programs are customized for clients by size, influentials, media type, delivery times and formats. Programs include reach, tone, key message effectiveness, executive outreach, analyst measurement and quote effectiveness.
Responsibilities:As a Coordinator you will provide support for projects, services and products to external clients, PR Account Staff or other teams in the agencyResearch projects will require in-depth informational retrieval, evaluation and analysis, and produce high-level analytical results. Has ability to draw well-informed conclusions from research findings and relevant data and present recommendations to clients. Normally receives little instruction on routine work and general instructions on new assignments. Advanced search capabilities across various content providers Basic analysis of data, ability to draw conclusions and determine priorities Ability to discuss deliverables and content with clients/partners Knowledge of top tier business, trade and metro publications Ability to negotiate and set expectations with partners and clientsAdvanced analysis capabilities – illuminating PR impacts on media outcomes and trends
Requirements:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, public relations or journalism.1+ years of professional experience in business measurement, research or analysis1 or more years in measurement, research or analysisAbility to work independently and provide support to team members for projects and servicesMonitoring, data entry, basic measurement, online database capabilities; setting up search strings, outlet lists, find publication information, advanced search and basic understanding of new aggregators (including blogs)Proficiency in using MS Office and proficient in data and research tools such as Factiva, LexisNexis, etc.Writing skills; developed written materials that are organized, professional and conciseAbility to work independently and provide support to team members for projects and services
