Contract Manager- Provider Contracting

The Contract Manager is responsible for provider network development and management for KPIC, including management of the rental networks relationships.Lead national contract negotiation for KPIC and other provider contracts for KP.Previous experience in network contracting with teaching/tertiary/university hospitals, community hospitals, and other facility providers for a health insurer, health care delivery system, or provider organization, including experience working with various reimbursement methodologies, financial analysis and decision support systems, and contract models are essential.Responsible for developing contract strategy, due diligence and working with Actuarial Services on financial analysis and industry benchmarking.Responsible for contract language development with Legal for contract completion.Responsible for coordinating with actuarial services budget forecasts of budgetary impacts of these contracts.Accountable for contract interpretation and clarification for multiple internal KP departments and with Providers. Supervises the development of contract operational manuals.Accountable for contract dispute resolution activities and contract clarification of audits or billing issues.National travel is a necessary part of the position.Requirements:Candidate must have a Bachelor degree in health care or business/finance. Masters Degree preferred.Candidate must have at least 5-years experience in health care and 3-5 years in contract negotiations and contract management.Candidate must demonstrate experience in financial and utilization analysis as well as experience with developing and managing complex large capitation contracts.
