Communications Assistant – TEB 1169

 

The Communications Assistant position is an excellent opportunity for the candidate who is interested in learning and pursuing a career in Communications.  The position is 65% administrative and 35% editorial assistance.  The incumbent will assist the Communications Team in delivering effective communications to internal and external customers by performing a variety of administrative and editorial tasks related to those communications in multiple media.

 

Responsibilities

 Database administration of all customer contacts in Siebel (including Falcon operators, partners/vendors, Authorized Service Centers and DAS)Create and maintain all department’s mailing, distribution and invitation listsAssist in producing accurate data for Worldwide Operator Directory publicationCreate, coordinate and maintain multi-departmental Customer Service Events Calendar in OutlookBroadcast faxing of communiqués and maintenance of Premiere Global Services fileAdministrative tasks associated with meetings and seminars including creating seminar registration reports, preparing badges and assembling various presentation materials such as handouts, shipping and mailing items, etc.Proofreading of customer service publications and media Coordinate proof reviews and inter-departmental interactionsAssist Manager, Customer Service Communications as requested, including some customer interactionSpecial projects, as required

Required QualificationsB.A. in Communications, English, Business or related field required2+ years of professional work experience desirable but will consider recent college graduates who are interested in Communications Ideal candidate has strong communication skills and is courteous, proactive and self-motivatedStrong and demonstrable proficiency in MS Office Suite -- Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Excellent English grammar, writing, editing and proofreading skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPositive, can-do attitudeOpenness and receptivity to taking on new tasks and projectsQuark, Photoshop, Web publishing and/or Layout/Design skills are a strong plusFrench language skills are a plusKnowledge of business aviation industry is preferred
