The Systems Administrator(s) – will be responsible for supporting the network devices, systems, storage, and middleware necessary to Travelzoo’s business success. The candidate will work with staff and vendors on a global basis, assuring ongoing operations as well as deploying new capabilities and new sites. The successful candidate will have a flexible, “always-on” work ethic suitable to a dynamic global environment where the sun never sets.
Job requirements:
- At least 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to travel to European, American, and Asian sites
- Understanding of and administrative technical proficiency Windows systems administration, virtualization and terminal server tools such as VMWare and Citrix, backup tools such as Veritas, avariety of industry standard storage and hardware/platforms, Blackberry Enterprise Server and/or Windows wireless server.
- Highly desired but not required is Cisco proficiency and more generally proficiency with network equipment in general including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc…
