Business Manager - Wines & Spirits
Sarvis, Inc is a worldwide organization providing marketing, sales and administrative services to major consumer products companies in the military resale market (commissaries and exchanges). The company is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida and is seeking an experienced individual to direct its Wines & Spirits business.
The role of Business Manager is similar to that of an Account Executive in a representative sales organization such as a food broker or a distributor. Experience, either marketing or sales, in the wines & spirits industry is mandatory. Good communication and computer skills are a prerequisite as are the abilities to analyze, organize and present marketing and sales information.
The following briefly outlines position:
Business Manager is the central point of contact for both the client and the Sales Divisions.Business Manager develops and recommends promotion plans, manages the spend, processes and distributes shipment and POS information, tracks performances results and disseminates information to all concerned at the frequencies required Business Manager is the primary provider of information to the Headquarter Teams including business reviews and category analysis; sales presentations, promotion information and logistics issue assistance. In turn, the Headquarters Teams provide all relevant information regarding the customer to the Business Manager including presentation appointments, promotion schedules, promotion strategies, POG change schedules, presentation results and approved promotion programs.Business Manager is the focal point for the Region Managers for all matters pertaining to the clients business. Region Managers are required to provide feedback on a weekly basis via email regarding distribution results, promotion sell ins, shipper status, displays built and competitive activity. Business Manager provides a full range of reporting to client depending upon the clients needs
Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are mandatory. Familiarity with IBM’s System AS 400 and syndicated data such as AC Neilson is essential.
