Business & Database Manager

 

Position Summary:  Manage and improve the revenue and expense systems and processes for sport divisions including oversight of division budgets, invoicing, collections and reporting. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Invoicing

Review, analyze and prepare invoice requests for:

· Management fees

· Fee splits with outside agents

· Bonuses due on marketing contracts

· Events (exhibitions, appearances, tournaments)

· Other items as needed

Budgeting, Reporting and Collections Support

· Prepare client income summaries

· Prepare monthly and year-to-date report of status of invoice requests

· Track accounts receivable by division

· Coordinate collection of outstanding receivables with senior division staff

· Prepare division budgets with senior division staff

· Propose and deliver improved reporting and budgeting support

Process and System Improvements

· Evaluate current invoicing, budgeting, reporting and collection activities and recommend and implement process and system improvements

· Research, procure and implement contract database to support invoicing, collection and reporting functions, as well as legal contracting process

· Develop sophisticated standardized/ad hoc reports for division heads and senior management

· Enhance interdepartmental communication and process/systems coordination

Other related duties and requests as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

· BS or BA in business, finance or accounting and minimum of two years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience

· Excellent quantitative skills and ability to track numbers and accounts with ease and accuracy

· Extreme attention to detail and highly organized

· Advanced skills in report generation, database management, and Excel

· Experience leading implementation of process and systems improvements

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, and sense of humor

· Deadline and results-driven with ability to juggle multiple projects and urgent timelines

· Ability to work long hours as may be necessary, at times with little or no notice
