Austin Senior Pursuit Consultant Senior Pursuit Consultants are experienced proposal writing professionals who are responsible for preparing tailored proposals to support client service professionals in strategic new business opportunities and client retention.  Providing quality service to our internal clients is critical to being successful.  Senior Pursuit Consultants must have a demonstrated track record of proposal project management experience including strong writing and editing skills.   Major responsibilities by order of importance:   ·   Serves as advisor in proposal planning meetings with client service professionals. ·   Communicates and reiterates our organization's strategic messages in written and verbal communications. ·   Utilizes outstanding project management and client service skills to work collaboratively with client service professionals to ensure most effective concepts are selected for development.   ·   Researches clients and associated issues; develops original drafts and synthesizes team comments to edit subsequent drafts for consistency of message and tone in the overall "package" of the deliverable.   ·   Assumes ownership of the proposal process including writing, editing, teaming with graphics design, proofreading, printing, production and delivery of proposals to assure deadlines are met and content is accurate and quality outstanding.   ·   In addition to teaming with other pursuit managers on large proposals and presentations, these individuals may be called upon to coordinate such projects in multi-office situations or to support certain projects around the region. ·   Work virtually with minimal supervision and must be able to successfully manage multiple proposals. - Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related discipline - 3-5 years of prior relevant experience (project management experience) - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability to work with people at all levels; team player - Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment - Must be able to work with grace and efficiency under pressure - Attention to detail and great follow-up skills essential - Excellent Microsoft Office (advanced) skills - Team-oriented with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Excellent editor and proofreader - Experience in professional services environment preferred About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
