Associate Analyst (Market Research)

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Entry-level position in which the individual will learn essential foundations of MMA's various product and service offerings.  Plays a supporting role in providing day-to-day analytic support for routine client projects.  Responsible for taking direction from the CSA manager and/or client service team to provide answers to business issues through analyses.  Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of projects as directed.  Limited responsibility for productivity goals and process adherence.  Supports the entire project engagement, focusing on analytics. RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Data Management / Preparation

-  Good organization and attention to detail.

-  All the required data is collected in a timely manner and without rework.

-  Basic understanding of various types of data and sources.

-  Understands the process of data collection and importance of accurate data prior to   project kick-off.

-  Communication with DSG, CS team, data suppliers, ad agencies and other sources to   obtain necessary data.

-  Assists with the QC of data.

· Modeling

-  Exhibits competency in the use of MMA's software tools.

-  Strives to follow established processes.

-  Understands the various tools and their application for our clients.

-  Ability to run models with some supervision.

-  Issues escalated prior to work having to be repeated.

-  Learns from the issues - problems are not repeated.

-  Is able to listen and take direction well.

-  Attention to detail.

-  Finds and resolves errors.

· Project Management

-  Is organized, takes detailed notes, is able to find information quickly.  Documents project work in the log.

-  Follows process.

-  Meets task deadlines, with some supervision.

-  Communicates with teammates when difficulties arise or when deadlines are at risk.

-  Achieves annual project work target for the Associate Analyst level.

· Project Management

-  Works with more senior ASG team members and client service team members to answer key client issues.

-  Exhibits behaviors conducive to team success (e.g. cooperative, win-win actions).

-  Frequent and forthcoming communication with team members.

-  Exhibits good interpersonal and communication skills.

-  Ensures issues are identified and escalated to more senior team members.

-  Develops relationships with key technical and client service resources.

 REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or similar discipline.

· Entry level to 2 years experience in a marketing or advertising research area

· Strong analytic and quantitative skills

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, familiarity of Word and Powerpoint.
