Fly Magazine is Central PA's Most Complete Guide to Nightlife, Dining and Entertainment. We publish three monthly print editions covering the Lancaster, York and Harrisburg areas and have experienced steady growth in both advertising revenue and editorial content over the past 16 years.

 

 

Account Rep Job Description:

Service customers by selling print ads, creating ad campaigns, and working with clients to create monthly ads

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

Service Existing ClientsNewly hired account reps will be given an established territory with existing client accounts to maintain

 

* Advise clients on advertising campaigns and strategies

* Collect ad copy and work with in-house design team to produce print ads for clients

* Return designed ad proofs to clients for approval prior to publishing date

 

 

Pursue New Business

In addition to maintaining existing accounts, account reps will pursue new business through a combination of calling on seasonal clients, former clients and new prospects

 

* Consult with prospects on ad campaigns and strategies

* Submit orders by completing client contracts and paperwork

* Maintain new clients through the duration of the ad program

 

Magazine Production

As a small business, our account reps also contribute to team effort by consulting with editorial and production team regarding the overall composition of the magazine

 

* Communicate with managers and editors regarding news and events in the local entertainment scene

* Suggest story ideas

* Collect and relay general editorial information



 

Skills/Qualifications:

Successful candidates will posses the following skills:

 

* Ability to manage ones own schedule and meet deadlines

* Self-motivated to continue to grow client base

* Organizational skills to maintain client information and programs

 

* Sales experience helpful but not required

* Communications and marketing background helpful, but not required
