Overview: Fleishman-Hillard’s San Francisco office has an immediate opening for an energetic, self-starting, Account Supervisor to join our thriving technology practice. This is an exciting career opportunity for an experienced PR specialist with a passion for technology-related public relations and communications. This position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams to assist technology clients with their external public relations and communications activities.Responsibilities: The Account Supervisor plays a pivotal role in handling many of the day-to-day logistics for the account team. Responsibilities include working with more senior members of the team to create budgets and forecasts, manage projects and clients, and pursuing new business by contributing to proposals and opportunities. He or she will work as a key team member, providing team leadership and team member counsel and development.Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be very organized, creative, and have a minimum of 5-7 years of large agency experience in developing and implementing public relations programs specifically related to consumer, financial and technology products. Candidate must possess excellent relationships with major regional and national media, and have a proven track record of securing placements. This individual must have: • Five to seven years of experience providing public relations counsel to clients. Agency experience is a must and in-house experience is a plus. • Depth of experience in the technology practice area, with proven success working with trade and national business media. • Strong strategic thinker and planner, with a proven track record in messaging and positioning • Demonstrated experience executing public relations plans and the ability to draft and implement strategic public relations programs within budget are preferred but not required. • Excellent writing ability with extensive experience in all forms of written communication, from business media news releases to executive talking points • Proven ability in developing compelling proposals and presenting them effectively and persuasively. • Detail – oriented • Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality. • Ability to work well within a team environment.
