Overall Purpose and Objective of this position:  Candidate will develop new revenue and grow existing revenue by assessing customer business needs and return on investment expectations. Responsibilities include outside sales presentations, problem solving, developing comprehensive advertising campaigns using various media including online, display, and experiential custom events. Candidate will develop trusted and loyal business relationships by providing strategic marketing campaigns that are designed to meet customer's sales goals.  Skills/Abilities:  Must have strong, persuasive communication skills. Provide a proven track record in publishing, online or broadcast sales with historical revenue gains. Must have ability to exercise independent judgment in order to manage a variety of duties and own dependable transportation. Strong organizational and time management skills are a must. Candidate must have proven track record of accuracy to detail and timeliness. Must be able to maintain a level of confidentiality in regards to client account spending and rates; management issues as they pertain to an Account Representative position.  Education/Training:  College degree or equivalent media sales experience of four or more years required. Must be able to speak to customers in a clear and effective manner in order to communicate benefits, comprehensive presentations and close sales. Work through challenges with costs, budgets and selling strategy. Prefer experience using research data to provide analysis of market and consumer buying habits; ability to write effective proposals, and negotiate contracts independently. A background or market knowledge of the Cincinnati USA, Travel and Tourism, BTB, Custom Publishing and/or Telemarketing sales is a plus. Necessary computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Understanding of media audit, consumer profiling research. Indesign and/or website software a plus.  Timing: Sales position is available immediately and will be filled by Sept.15, 2008. No phone calls please!
